Sino-Japanese co-op meeting held in Beijing

The Fifth Meeting of Joint Working Group between SBSM and Geographical Survey Institute of Japan (GSI) was held in Beijing on November 14. Li Weisen, Deputy Director General of SBSM and Seki Katsumi, Deputy Director General of GSI co-chaired the meeting. Both sides introduced the recent development of their organizations and the working plan for bilateral co-op was formulated at the meeting.

The joint working group meeting was established on the basis of the Implementing Agreement between the GSI and SBSM for Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Surveying and Mapping signed in 2003. The meeting is aimed at exchanging development of surveying and mapping of the two countries and working out cooperation plans.
