On December 5th, 2007, Mr. LI Weisen, deputy director general, state bureau of surveying and mapping addressed at the opening ceremony of NaviForum 2007. He said, with the fast development of navigation industry, satellite positioning and navigation technology has been widely employed in various aspects of national economy and people’s life, which has played an important role in economic and social development; the navigation industry of China is growing fast, it has made remarkable progress in electronic navigation maps, application software, hardware and related information service, the industry’s future is optimistic.
