The national conference of surveying and mapping opened on January 11 in Beijing. Xu Shaoshi, Minister of Land and Resources ( MLR), State Land Inspector-General was present and made a speech at the conference. Lu Xinshe, Vice Minister of MLR, Director General of SBSM announced Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan’s written directives on surveying and mapping and delivered a working report. Wang Chunfeng, Deputy Director General of SBSM presided over the conference. Present at the conference were also SBSM Deputy Directors General Li Weisen, Song Chaozhi, Min Yiren and Luo Lan, and leaders from relevant departments of CPC, the State Council and the army.
