On October 12, 2008, the Scientific Expedition Team of the Sources of the Three Rivers located the source of the Tuotuo River and completed survey of the last source of Yangtze River. They observed the coordinates and height of the area and conducted research on the conditions of meteorology, hydrology, glaciers, gravity, geology, and environment around the source area.
