The forum on navigation and geo-information standards was held in Beijing on October 14, the world standards day. The forum was jointly sponsored by SBSM, China National Standardization Committee for Geomatics, and China GPS Technology Application Association. Li Weisen, deputy director general of SBSM and chairman of China National Standardization Committee for Geomatics attended the forum and delivered a speech. Participants of the forum were from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Surveying and Mapping, Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping, National Geomatics Center of China, China University of Geology, Wuda Geoinformatics, Supermap, Autonavi and other universities and institutions.
