  1.Improve the formulation of complementary policies and push forward the implementation of the State Council’s Opinions

  Work out policies and regulations in promoting basic surveying and mapping, map management, and geographic information industry development in order to solve problems arising in the course of surveying and mapping development. Redouble efforts to prop up local governments to issue documents on implementing the State Council’s Opinions on Strengthening Surveying and Mapping Work. Strive to make breakthroughs regarding investment, project determination, and institutional improvement.

  2.Improve the institutional structure and systems to strengthen the unified supervision of surveying and mapping

  Speed up the formulation of surveying and mapping regulations. Strengthen the unified supervision of surveying and mapping. Advance the administration of surveying and mapping according to law.

  3.Concentrate on key projects and speed up basic surveying and mapping

  Make effort in the determination and implementation of key projects, promote the construction of public platform of geographic information, strengthen the management of the design and budget of basic surveying and mapping, and accelerate the building of modern infrastructure of surveying and mapping.

  4.Stick to the goal of service and increase service level continuously

  Speed up the construction of public surveying and mapping service systems, provide good non-profit surveying and mapping services and promote the development of geographic information industry.

  5.Improve the capacity for independent innovation and strengthen the work of standardization

  6.Strengthen the work in party building, staff quality improvement, cultural development, and publicity.
